Each month, I share my blog statistics so my readers and fellow bloggers can see how Money In The 20s is growing. I see this as a good way for new bloggers to benchmark their progress. March 2011 was my first month blogging and I had 301 visitors and 856 page views that month. However, in March 2011 my figures were overstated because I didn’t filter my own visits out of Google analytics. Starting with April 2011, none of my visits are included in my blog stats. Below is a look at how I did in June:
I wanted to start by saying that June was great for Money In The 20s because my pagerank is now a 2! My blog is only a few months old, so I wasn’t really expecting a pagerank yet, but am very happy with the bump up!
Growth was very good for Money In The 20s in June. Visits were up by 50% and page views were up by 20% for the month. I like that I am seeing consistent monthly growth in the early months of my blog, but I would like to start getting more quality traffic. Below are my the goals I had for June:

Visits: 1,350 – Achieved
Page Views: 2,800 – Achieved
Bounce Rate: 62.5% – Not Achieved
Average Time on Site: 2:15 – Not Achieved
Here are my goals for July 2011:

Visits: 1,900
Page Views: 2,800
Bounce Rate: 65.0%
Average Time on Site: 1:45
I’m starting to come to the realization that I am not close to the bounce rate and average time on site that I would like to achieve. The main reason for this is that a lot of my traffic is coming from search engines and I am finding that traffic has a a high bounce rate. My referring site traffic has been down mainly because I haven’t had the time to comment on other blogs like I was in past months. I am going to try and get back on track with my commenting and interacting with other bloggers to increase my referral traffic.
